I just tried to record a simple .wav file via the built in microphone on my core2 with the M5Go Bottom2 using the blocky 'record to file' block. I am using UI flow 1.12.2 on my core2 and yes it does record and I can play the .wav file back but even at max volume of 6 the sound is very faint.

RE: Core2 resets when recoding from build in microphone
Yes Remco I have found the same issue with the microphone on the Core 2.
It does create an audio file to my SD card but it is 0 bites.
And yes this simple Blocky record function makes the Core 2 crash and restart. -
RE: M5Core2 + Bottom2 Example crashes
Yes it seems the microphone on the M5Core2 with Bottom 2 still does not work.
I have tried basic record and replay using UIFlow Blocky and the Core2 crashes and restarts. Its frustrating that such basic functions do not work and aren't fixed in updates. -

Thanks Phil, this was very helpfull for me too. -

UiFlow v 1.10.7 can't get into Setup on Core 2
Hi, I have a Core 2 and have installed UiFlow v 1.10.7
When I power the unit on it goes straight to connecting to WiFi and there isn't time to access the Setup or App menus. The same when rebooting, the WiFi is accessed so quickly that you cannot access Setup or App menus. -

Amazing! Thank you very much Pavelprosto.

RE: Unit Cam support for Core2
@teastain
The Unit Cam and Timer Cam units are greyed out on UI Flow for the Core 2. -
RE: Heart Rate Unit
@ajb2k3
Thanks for the advice but I am hardly going to buy a shop brought SPO2 meter to check the M5 Heart Rate unit against.
Calibrating the unit?? No instructions were provided with the unit to do this.
I persisted testing it on myself many times and there is no way my heart rate fluctuates between 60 and 210.
Anyway M5Stack guys were helpful in trying to assist me too so that was also appreciated. -
Unit Cam support for Core2
I was dissapointed to find that my Core2 does not support Unit Cam. As the Core2 is a more expensive controller than the first generation Core I would appreciate this being resolved asap please.

RE: Speaker.Volume on Core2
I note that adding speaker volume to Core2 was suggested over two years ago and still has not been added. As the Core2 is a more expensive controller than Core I would appreciate this being resolved asap please.

RE: Heart Rate Unit
Thanks teastain,
yes the heart rate unit is useless. It does not produce accurate results no matter how much you try and adapt the way you use it. -
Heart Rate Unit
Hello, I received my Heart Rate Unit today and tried using it with my Core2 which has an M5Go Bottom fitted.
The sample program on UI flow loaded but the results that I am getting for my heart rate very between 58 to 208 beets per minute when I continue to put my finger on the sensor. There is no consistency with the readings.
Also my 02 level readings very between 89 to 98, again when I am making repeated readings.
Do you think my unit is faulty? -
RE: Core2 does not start after replacing CORE2 cover
What really caused the issue!
Further to my last post I have found that the real issue whereby my Core2 cover caused the Core2 to shut down when the cover was pushed back in place was due to damage to the Core2 cover.
I obviously had damaged some of the components of the accelerometer when I removed the Core2 cover with a screwdriver!
I hope I can purchase just a replacement cover.
Something to be aware of when removing the Core2 cover. -
RE: Core2 does not start after replacing CORE2 cover
Hi Felix,
PROBLEM SOLVED!
You are right. When I removed the CORE2 cover and replaced it with only slight pressure the controller boots up.
SO the trick is not to push too hard and push the cover too far in, or as you say isolate the metal parts with tape.
Thank you for problem solving this for me and probably for others who have the same issue.
Cheers -
RE: Core2 does not start after replacing CORE2 cover
Hi Felix,
Yes by ‘cover’ I do mean the small board labelled CORE2 holding the microphone and IMU chip. I have pressed this cover fully in so I don’t think it’s a problem with pins not making good contact
I haven’t disassembled the Core 2 any more than removing this cover so I haven’t accessed the battery and the grey cover holding the battery in.
I have updated the Core2 firmware today to v1.10.1 and this hasn’t made any difference. -
RE: Core2 does not start after replacing CORE2 cover
Hi
Both times I am using battery -
Core2 does not start after replacing CORE2 cover
I have been making and using programs with the CORE2 cover off of my Core2 controller, so I can access the GPIO pins. Now when I replaced the CORE2 cover I cannot power on/start my Core 2 controller. Each time that I remove the CORE2 cover, again I can power on the controller. Every time I put the cover back on it wont power on.
How do I overcome this please?? -
UnitCam with Core2
Hello everyone,
Can anyone please advise if the UnitCam can be used with the M5Stack Core2?
The Cam Unit is greyed out in UiFlow.
If the UnitCam can be used with the Core2 I presume it needs to be wired to the pins beneath the CORE2 cover on the rear of the M5Stack Core2.
Any help greatly appreciated.
