Luckily for me I'm bogged-down in user interface shenanigans (reading/processing/displaying touch inputs) so I've not really had time to look more closely at the library. I'm only a novice (noob) programmer in that I've not done it for over 25 years now LOL

But sadly it means it's hard for me to understand the source files sometimes. Which is why it's a shame there isn't any documentation about the library.

I'll have another stab at understanding it when I get my touch/UI sorted out a bit better.

that doesn't sound right. I have an M5Core2 which is solely powered via the 5 V input from the stacked COM.X module and the communication between the two uses Serial2 (aka GPIO13 and GPIO14) successfully.

Do you care to share your code?

according to the M5Core2 schematic the battery is controlled by the AXP192. I suggest you to consult the AXP192 datasheet.

no, you can but you don't need to remove the pullup resistor. If you read GPIO32 like this it will report HIGH and when you connect GPIO32 to GND with a wire is should read LOW. Use below code to set GPIO32 as input and do something when it is read LOW.

try without the extra Serial.begin(115200). By default Serial gets already initialized when the M5.begin() function is called. I've seen things go wrong before when Serial is initialized twice.

Yes it makes sense! Made a table to help other users.

For the USB module... The Core2 does not power the 5v bus line until the ax192 is initialized.. and the USB module without power holds the reset line down preventing the esp32 from starting.

Are you sure that your computer has connected to the the M5-520 access point using your computers wifi manager?

IF you not able to access 192.168.4.1 it means

you are not connected to the M5Stack device, you may need to refresh the firmware using the M5Burner program.

I have the same problem with my Core2. Followed the demo in every step. And I am using the latest version (beta web) and newest firmware.
Could you please send me the m5f, too?

Addendum:
The components close to the MBUS connector also get in the way of the original bottom, if fit to the GPS module.
So I am afraid there is not really a practical solution.

Which OS are you used? macOS? it maybe is the USB driver problem. could you put it to win10 and try again.?

if in the online version (1.8.5) of UIFlow I select M5Core2 then under Demo (button top right) I only see the drawing board app, however when I select M5Stack (Base) I see multiple example apps under Demo, including the Weather Station.

In other words, the examples build for M5Stack are in general not compatible with M5Core2 and vice versa.

I guess your options are to either take the M5Stack examples and try to adapt / rebuild them to M5Core2 or get an M5Stack.

ahh one more think with i just recall :D
when my core 2 was at home by using M5Burner by mistake i just preload UIflow for Core not for Core2 and this was a same loop as you can see
