    • Core2 + modules Configuration check

I need a configuration with the following IOs and features:

      1. RS485
      2. CATM
      3. GNSS
      4. 2 Digital IOs
      5. I2C
      6. Wifi host.
      7. RS232 (not required but nice to have)

Can I use the Core2, COMMU module, and the SIM7080G CAT-M/NB-IoT+GNSS together to achieve this?

I'm assuming I'd hook the CATM module to the TTL lines on the COMMU and that everything on my list is possible except the extra RS232 port.

      Have you tried digikey?

    • external power barrel plug dimensions for COM.x modules

Does anyone have the barrel plug dimensions for the COM modules that take and external power supply? For example, the COM.LTE? Would 2.1mmx5.5mm work? Like this? https://www.amazon.com/TMEZON-Power-Adapter-Supply-2-1mm/dp/B00Q2E5IXW/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=5.5mm+dc+power+adapter&qid=1627583896&s=electronics&sr=1-4

My understanding is that attaching an external supply to one module will power the other modules and the core2. Correct?

I was hoping that was the case. I'll just have to try it. Thank-you.

    • RE: Multiple COM.x modules together

Good to know about the GPS. I was wondering about that. Looks like it's as accurate as the COM.GPS module.
This HAT uses the 7600G and has some specs: https://www.seeedstudio.com/SIM7600G-H-4G-LTE-Module-HAT-for-Jetson-Nano-p-4495.html

      Thanks for your help!

    • RE: Multiple COM.x modules together

Thanks for the information. If I didn't need CAN, there's no dip switch or API to disable it? Could I just clip the pin 15 on the COMMU M-Bus header?

    • Multiple COM.x modules together

I have an application that would need to collect data over RS485, one or two GPIOs, GPS and send it out over LTE.

Is it correct that the M-Bus only supports two UARTS such that stacking COM.GPS, COM.LTE and COMMU together would not work?

    • COM.LTE(4G) North America

Does the COM.LTE(4G) module work with North American carriers? It says Verizon/ATT certification, but will it work with those carrier's in the U.S.?
