@robski oh very cool! I didn't notice that till now, thanks.
I see the Cardputer demos there. Unfortunately they are outdated but I'll keep an eye on it

After playing around with some third-party firmware images, I would like to get back to the stock demo app to test ESP NOW between two Card Computers.
There is a problem. The official demo app is not on M5Burner.
M5Burner Cardputer only has one official app, and that is UIFlow2. Original demo app is missing.
Thank you. The button press to get into download mode is what I was missing.
(Press and hold BtnGo, then press and release BtnRst and BtnGo)
After doing that, I saw ttyACM0 listed in the select box.
I'm running Manjaro Linux and I would like to use M5Burner to flash images onto my Card Computer. When I try to run the program, I get an error.
~/Downloads/M5Burner-v3-beta-linux-x64 ./M5Burner
M5Burner needs current user in group [dialout]
You should run:
sudo usermod -a -G dialout chris
Apparently Manjaro doesn't use dialout.
I'm assuming M5Burner isn't set up to handle this, so I got around the issue by creating a dialout group just to get past the check.
$ sudo groupadd dialout
$ sudo usermod -a -G dialout chris
After I did this, I was able to launch M5Burner, log in and browse images.
The second problem arose when I wanted to burn an image. With the CARD Computer connected via USB, there is no COM listed.
Since Manjaro is Arch based I'm thinking this problem is unique to Arch ecosystem. Does anyone know a fix for this sort of thing?
Ok, 128GB too big, that makes sense. Yes the two cards work on a computer when I use a USB adapter. I can read and write to them both. Could it be the HC part that's incompatible? These are all cards I used to use on a GoPro camera so they have the SD HC attribute. Haven't had any luck yet with them on the Cardputer. I'm looking around for other SD cards to test.
The SD cards I tried are shown below.
I took your advice and I used gparted on all of them. I created a msdos partition table, then created a fat16 primary partition table. I was seeing the same errors from my initial post.
I tried fat32 as well. I was seeing the same errors.
Today I received my CARD Computer and I'm loving it's design. I was playing around with the included apps and I ran into a problem with the notes app. I tried 3 different SD cards but none of them can be formatted. I get the following error message.
SD card mount failed
Press enter to try again
ctrl + q to quit
ctrl +f to format
Naturally, I press ctrl + f
to format the card, but I get another error.
Failed to mount SD card,
is it inserted?
Press enter to continue
Any tips for getting past these errors?
