      Hi there,

I have SIM7020G COM.X NB-IOT module and I am trying to connect it with network.

I am using 12V 3A SMPS and DC-DC step down converter (3A max) to drive SIM7020G module. Also, I am using airtel sim card.

      AT

      OK
      AT+CPIN?

      +CPIN: READY

      OK
      AT+CSTT="airtelgprs.com,"",""

      ERROR
      AT+CSTT="airtelgprs.com","",""

      OK
      AT+
      +CGREG: 0â–’â–’CI
      +CGREG: 2

      +CGREG: 0
      AT+CIICR

      ERROR
      AT+CGREG=?

      +CGREG: (0-2)

      OK
      AT+CSQ

      +CSQ: 99,99

      OK

      +CGREG: 2

This is what I am getting in response and I tried to change sim card.

Thank you so much in advance

@jeets said in How to connect SIM7020G to the network?:

        airtel sim card

does your sim card provider's network provider/s support NB-IoT? Because the SIM7020G only supports NB-IoT.

You may also try to remove the simlock of your card.

            Hello @HappyUser

as far as I understand below AT command and response from the log means that the SIM card is unlocked, no?

            AT+CPIN?
            +CPIN: READY
            OK

            Thanks

@felmue Indeed, According to the manual Ready means MT is not pending for any password.

                @jeets +CSQ: 99,99 tells me that you don't have a signal.

I am struggling trying to make a M5CORE2 working with a COMX.NB.IOT module.
                  I am gettingAT+CSQ 99,99
                  AT+COPS 0
                  AT+CREG 0,2
Do you think I am communicating in the correct way with the module?
Any Idea on how to connect to the network?

                    Hello @silentrain23

I think you probably just need to wait a bit longer for it to register.

From the AT Command document (link here) the 2 in the AT+CREG 0,2 response means: Not registered, but MT is currently searching a new operator to register to

                    Thanks
