CO2 sensor example not working

I had a few projects with a CO2 sensor and also an ENV_IV sensor using the M5Atom Lite. All working fine. However recently after updates on Arduino libraries and boards it no longer works. I also tried the CO2 sensor example and it fails. ChatGPT made suggestion on stricter I2C working. However I am not able to make it work again. Anyone a working example, or answer to the problem?
