Connecting to AWS using LAN Base

  • Connecting to AWS using LAN Base

I am a product designer and have recently been learning programming.
I'm trying to use M5 Stack and UI FLOW for a simple IoT device prototype.

I want to connect AWS IoT Core and M5 Stack via MQTT and subscribe with M5 Stack.
However, I cannot use wireless LAN in that environment, so I want to use LAN Base for wired connection.
Recently an MQTT block for LAN Base was added to UI FLOW.
However, I can't set up a private key or certificate like the AWS block.
    How can I program it?

For example, can I just connect the AWS block following the Init block for LAN Base?
In that case, I don't know what to set for the remoteIP.

  • What do you mean by can’t set up AWS credentials as they are independent of the lan base

  • Thank you.
LAN Base's MQTT init block does not have an entry to register a keyFile or certFile like the AWS block.

... Maybe I have misunderstood the programming process itself.
How can I use LAN Base to connect to AWS via wired LAN?

You have to set SSL to true to get the cert but why not just use AWS setup does not care how you physically connect to the world as long as your core can access the WWW

I was able to subscribe via Wi-Fi using the AWS block.
However, when I turned off Wi-Fi with LAN Base connected, I could not communicate.
