<![CDATA[Noisy M5StickC speaker hat]]>Hi, I am using a speaker hat to play mp3 streams, but the audio comes with a persistent white noise background. Is it a common issue? Has anyone found a way (either in software or in hardware) to reduce this noise?

Yes, mine is the same on the original SPK PAM8303 hat, particularly on startup. I believe there was a mod, and maybe retro, to stop/reduce some of the unwanted noise. I'll see if I can locate the details.

See this page just below schematic. I haven't tried it myself.

The SPK2 is very cheap and maybe better quality also.
